Khichadi

Ingredients:
2 Cup Rice
1/4 tea spoon Menthya
1 spoon Jeera
1 spoon Red chilly powder
1/2 spoon Turmeric powder
1/2 cup Grated coconut
10-12 Garlic clove
2 Spoon Kadlebele (Channa Dal)
4 cup water
Salt

Method:
1. Dry roast menthya and jeera.
2. Grind roasted menthya, jeera, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, 7-8 garlic clove, grated coconut to make fine paste by adding little water.
3. Chop remaining garlic clove into small pieces.
4. Add rice, channa dal, grinded masala, water and chopped garlic into pressure cooker.
5. Add salt according to your taste.
6. Close the lid of cooker. Cook till 1 whistle come in high flame. then 2 whistle in low flame.
7. Turn off the stove. Wait till the pressure is released.

Serving:

Type 1:
1. Serve hot with ghee for great taste.

Type 2:
1. Serve with Sweet coconut chutney, Coconut milk and Ellu susalu.
2. For 1 cup of khichadi, add 2 spoon of sweet coconut chutney, 1/4 cup coconut milk and 1 spoon Ellu susalu. Mix well and eat.
3. Optionally you can add ripedn banana.

Type 3:
1. Serve with Tamarind Chitranna gojju.
2. Prepare Tamarind Chitranna gojju 
3. Mix Khichadi and gojju. Serve with roasted groundnut.

Type 4:
1. Serve with Avarekalu halasinakayi sambar.
